Vertical Skywalk® - History

The first vertical shows were performed by an American group in 1991. However, Vertical Skywalk is different, and we have used our years of experience to influenced and evolve the new Vertical SkyWalk.

Sports Unlimited holds 2 unofficial “extreme Abseiling” world records. For a project with a Jeans company, the Stuntman descended vertically 220m (660 f) down the face of a dam in Switzerland.

For another PR activity of a Soft drink company, Sports Unlimited topped that record by abseiling out of a Helicopter at a height of 250m (750f). As a natural progression, Stefan Roos developed a system which is called Rap Sliding (extreme vertical abseiling in a horizontal position). Many thousand of participants have enjoyed RapSliding from cranes or buildings. This system has German TÜV approval. All that experience are a part of the new Vertical SkyWalk by Sports Unlimited Germany.
